Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body through precise movement with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness, overall well-being and aid in rehabilitation.
Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility however is perfect for all mobility and strength levels. In Pilates the chance of injury is much lower than with other more strenuous forms of exercise.
Pilates also focuses on the mind-body connection. While doing the various exercises your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves.
Led by Midori, one of Goldfields Revitalise's own therapists, who boasts an exceptional portfolio, including qualifications in both Pilates & Remedial Massage. Midori has taught Pilates for 14 years, and enjoys helping people reconnect with their mind and body as well as helping them live their life to the best possible, whilst having a bit of fun!
